Infotheek's CEO Hans Daniels has made a hasty exit from the Dutch reseller after just eight months at the helm.
HPE's former VP of western Europe only joined Infotheek in July 2018 after its long-standing CEO of more than six years, Jordy Kool, announced his resignation in November 2017.
In a press release, Infotheek claims the decision was made following a "strategic evaluation" of its activities where it was decided to give more strategic freedom to its two operating units: Centralpoint and Flex IT.
"It was a privilege to manage Infotheek Group during this period and I am proud to have worked with notable colleagues with in-depth knowledge of the industry and strong commitment to the success of Infotheek Group," said Daniels (pictured) in statement translated from the original Dutch.
The Leiden-based reseller's CFO, Harald Werner, has been appointed interim CEO.
Daniels' departure came after Kool stepped back to a non-executive position last year.
Kool orchestrated several large-scale acquisitions as chief exec, including €120m-turnover Centralpoint and hardware supplier Scholten Awater to create a €750m-turnover Dutch reseller.
