Bechtle has snapped up Swiss MSP Codalis, its third expansion in the DACH country in two months.
The Plan-les-Oates-headquartered firm - in the western French-speaking region of the country - logged revenues of CHF 10m (€9.16m) in its FY2018.
Bechtle's EVP of managed services for Switzerland, Hanspeter Oeschger, said that Codalis will give a boost to Bechtle's cloud, mobility and managed services business in western Switzerland.
"Codalis' service offering seamlessly plugs in with Bechtle's, increasing contract-related revenues," he said.
"Codalis is a modern, service-oriented IT company that will not only strengthen Bechtle's presence on the market, but also enrich the group with the addition of excellent employees."
Codalis MD Cédric Juillerat founded the service provider in 2001, and is expected to retain his position. The partner's 40-strong headcount focuses on French-speaking SME and enterprise customers.
Bechtle currently has 29 company and subsidiary offices across Switzerland, which it first expanded into in 2004.
In the last two months the Neckarsulm-based VAR has also bought Algacom, a Gold-level Microsoft Messaging partner, which hit revenues of CHF 6.4m (€5.8m) in 2018; and IT systems integrator, Abissa Informatique, which recorded revenues of 9.5m Swiss francs (€8.6m).
This year's M&A tally follows a concentrated effort by Bechtle to bulk up its Swiss business through acquisitions over the last few years. In 2016, Bechtle acquired €30m-revenue Steffen Informatik in 2016 and bought a flurry of Microsoft partners in Switzerland in 2018.
This latest acquisition comes two weeks after the German VAR announced it has restructured its Swiss operations, to form a new IT system house, due to open on New Year's Day 2020.
Bechtle's currently disparate IT system house, managed service and software licensing businesses will be rolled into one unit.
The three arms - Bechtle Steffen Schweiz AG, Bechtle Steffen IT-Services and Comsoft direct AG will be relaunched as Bechtle Switzerland AG / Bechtle Suisse SA.
The unit will also have two bases - one in French-speaking western Switzerland, and one in German-speaking central Switzerland
