Bechtle has acquired a Cisco managed services outfit in Switerland, adding new skills around networking and voice solutions.
The Germany-based VAR has bought Wide Technology Partners, a 20-strong team based in Baar, in the Zug region. The outfit turned over CHF 4.3m (€3.98m) in its fiscal 2018.
The terms and transaction details of the deal were not disclosed.
Founded in 2006, Wide Technology Partners also has an outpost in Vietnam. Its team of specialists in networking, datacentre, voice and security will add to Bechtle's existing professional services segment in Switzerland.
The firm's staff will continue to operate under its previous owner and managing director Reza Kordi.
"Wide adds a top-notch team of specialists to our flock, which will significantly enhance our expertise in networking and voice solutions and elevate our portfolio of managed services. For our customers, this means they'll be able to source even more knowledge, skills and services from a single provider", said Hanspeter Oeschger, EVP of IT systems integration and managed services in Switzerland at Bechtle.
"And Wide's own employees, partners and customer base will also benefit greatly from the seamless integration with one of the market's leading IT companies."
Kordi added: "Our expertise blends perfectly with Bechtle's offering in Switzerland. We are very much looking forward to advancing our activities under the Bechtle umbrella, and offering our customers an even more comprehensive IT solutions portfolio from a single source."
