What has been the most significant challenge for your MSP partners over the last 12 months?
MSPs making the transition (or expansion) to managed security services typically struggle to build the right service offering that they can support with both infrastructure and people. Providing security services for solutions like AlienVault differ greatly from traditional managed services, requiring a new set of skills and in some cases a new set of employees to deliver these offerings.
Managing a SOC is very different than a NOC; ensuring that you understand the differences is the foundation (and sometimes the difference) of being a truly successful MSSP.
What would you say is your greatest channel achievement over the last 12 months?
We have grown the number of partners we work with by 50 percent globally, equipping them to offer world-class security services to their customer communities. Our channel team is committed to helping our partners build successful practices focused on helping their customers identify and respond to the evolving threat landscape. Seeing our channel ecosystem grow so significantly over the last year is a testament to the value we enable them to deliver.
How important are MSPs to your business?
Managed services partners are a critical component of the AlienVault go-to- market strategy. Almost half of our customers choose to get the benefit of AlienVault USM from a service provider. The value we derive from our managed services community allows us to focus a proportional amount of our corporate resources on this space. We dedicate sales, marketing, technical and business resources to helping to continue the expansion and success of our services partners.
How pleased are you to have won this award?
We work hard to offer our partners a solution that adds value to their portfolio and to have USM, so being recognized for this is tremendously validating. We are committed to servicing the partner community and will continue to innovate to exceed the requirements of this rapidly evolving market. What difference will winning this award make to your business in 2018?
