Dollar worth of market set for 5.5 per cent drop, but Gartner asserts 'this is not a market crash'
The weakness of global currencies against the dollar has seen the worldwide IT spending outlook for the year become four times as bleak in the last two months alone. That is the finding of the latest Gartner forecast, which projects that the total amount spent worldwide on IT in 2015 will shrink 5.5 per cent in dollar terms to $3.5tn (€3.13tn).
