IBM to cut one in four jobs in France
Big Blue to axe up to 1,385 positions across its French business as part of European workforce cuts

IBM is planning to cut up to 1,385 jobs in its French business amid a wider workforce reduction which will see it delete around 8,000 jobs in Europe. French works council Confédération française démocratique du travail (CFDT), revealed following a meeting with trade unions that the cuts will hit multiple business lines at IBM, including its strategically important Cloud and Cognitive unit.
