Microsoft makes $20bn bet on AI with Nuance acquisition

The history making acquisition is part of the vendor’s "industry cloud strategy"

Microsoft has agreed to acquire Nuance Communications in a landmark deal for $19.7bn (€16.5bn). The transaction is intended to close this calendar year. This acquisition is the second most lucrative in Microsoft's history after its purchase of LinkedIn for $26.2bn (€22bn) in 2016.
