Global semiconductor market to swell double-digits despite current 'chipageddon' shortages - IDC

The global semiconductor market will grow 7.3 per cent in 2021 versus 10.8 per cent in 2020, reaching $600bn (€512bn) by 2025, according to figures from IDC. The researcher claims the industry will see normalisation and balance by the mid-2022, with a potential for overcapacity in 2023 as larger scale capacity expansions begin to come online towards the end of next year.
