NetApp to acquire AWS partner CloudCheckr

The US data management vendor says the buy is to strengthen its ability to help businesses scale cloud infrastructure and services.

NetApp has announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire US-HQ AWS partner CloudCheckr. It's the second buy for NetApp this year, after snapping up US managed platform provider Data Mechanics in June. The data management vendor's EVP of NetApp Public Cloud Services, Anthony Lye, said Cloud Checkr's multi-cloud infrastructure management solutions will be used to bolster Spot by NetApp, the vendor's analytics and automation platform.
