Vmware to officially part from Dell November 1

Dell Technologies will complete its spin-off of Vmware on November 1 following a five-year relationship between the two companies. As part of the deal, the US virtualisation giant will pay a special dividend of $11.5bn to the company's shareholders, which will include around $9.5bn for Dell Technologies. Dell said its board of directors have approved distribution of a special stock dividend to the technology giant's stockholders of all its shares of Class A and Class B common stock of VMware....
