Global Chromebook and tablet shipments slump as education spending fades - Canalys

After a string of successive growth quarters, shipments of Chromebooks and tablets saw steep drops during the third quarter of 2021.  According to the latest Canalys data, tablet shipments fell 15 per cent year on year to 37.7 million units, as the need for tablets to support consumer and education use cases dropped off in most regions.  While Chromebooks suffered an even steeper decline according to the analyst, with shipments down 37 per cent, primarily due to a slowdown in education ...
