Tech sustainability: Zscaler claims it now uses 100 per cent renewable energy across all 150 global datacentres

US vendor Zscaler claims it has achieved 100 per cent renewable energy in its offices and more than 150 datacentres.  It said this was attained through a combination of directly purchased renewable energy and renewable energy credits (RECs).  According to EnergySage, RECs represent the energy generated by renewable energy sources, such as solar or wind power facilities.  They are certificates that transfer the "renewable" aspects of renewable energy to the owner, meaning RECs paired ...
