US PC shipments drop double-digits in Q3 as education market saturates

US shipments of desktops, notebooks, tablets and workstations fell by 16 per cent year on year in Q3 2021 to 30.3 million units. Data from Canalys found that Notebook shipments slowed to reach 17.1 million units, a decline of 15 per cent year on year, due to a sharp drop in Chromebooks as the education market reached saturation.
