Vendor revenue grows in global security appliance market to almost $6bn in Q4 - IDC

Vendor revenue in the overall security appliance market grew 9.7 per cent year on year in the fourth quarter of 2021, reaching more than $5.8bn (€5.2bn). The jump represents a $515m increase compared to the same quarter in 2020, according to data from research firm IDC. It also found that security appliance shipments climbed 9.2 per cent year on year in Q4 2021 to more than 1.5 million units.
