
North America's smartphone market saw a year on year uptick in the first quarter of 2021 thanks to the performance of Apple's iPhone 13. Shipments reached 39 million units in Q1, a rise of 3.7 per cent according to figures from Canalys. Apple appeared as the number one vendor again, swelling 19 per cent to log 19.9 million units shipped and a market share of 51 per cent.
