Lenovo tells partners rationale for first-ever European manufacturing plant being based in Hungary

Lenovo claims its 50,000-square-metre facility can produce 4,000 workstations and 1,000 servers a day

Lenovo has promised partners more competitive pricing for its server and workstation products after opening its first-ever in-house manufacturing plant in Europe. Situated 25km southeast of Budapest in Üllo, Hungary, the facility - which is one of Lenovo's largest - spans 50,000 square meters across two buildings and three floors. The building has been fitted with solar panels with a capacity of 0.5 megawatts - or enough energy to power a small village, Lenovo claims. It was official...
