Channel Partner Insight is back with its CEO Killer Questions series.
This time, Senior Reporter Kelsey Rees sits down with the CEO of the largest reseller in the Nordics, Atea's Steinar Sønsteby.
Atea recently posted a 1.6 per cent year on year rise in revenues to earn NOK 11.9bn in its "record high" fourth quarter 2021 results.
Group revenue for the full year 2021 rose 4.6 per cent from 2020 to NOK 41.3bn, with EBIT coming in at NOK 1.046bn, up 22 per cent.
Chatting to CPI, he spoke candidly about how important he believes the channel truly is, and its role in supporting customers through the current surge in digital transformation.
"I've been around for quite a while now and I have never seen that we have been as important as we are right now," he said.
"And I think we're going to be more important three years from now.
"The channel has to act responsible because we are becoming the most important part of the value chain.
"The customer needs a hand to hold going through this transformation and we are that hand."
