More layoffs ahead as Cisco cuts almost 700 jobs

Cisco Systems broke the news it is slashing almost 700 jobs as part of the tech giant's previously announced plan to maximise cost savings. A total of 673 employees will be impacted, 371 of which reside within its San Jose location, 222 jobs in Milpitas and a further 80 in San Francisco, according to Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notifications (WARN) filed with the state of California.
