Storage distributor TIM has signed on with Proofpoint as it continues to make moves in the security space.
The Dell EMC, NetApp and Pure Storage partner will offer Proofpoint in Germany and Austria.
TIM is relatively new to the security space, signing on its first cybersecurity vendor, Bitdefender, in 2017. It then inked a deal with Virtual Solution in 2018.
The addition of Proofpoint brings the DACH distributor's portfolio to 16 vendors.
Co-COO, Tim Henneveld, previously told CPI that he aims to expand the distributor's security portfolio by introducing small vendors looking to break into the DACH market.
In a statement, co-COO Jörg Eilenstein said he considers Proofpoint to be an established vendor in the market.
"Business people today are pursuing strategic goals and can therefore expose their employers to increased risk of cyber-attacks and compliance risks. Focusing on people, Proofpoint solutions help companies reduce their attack surface while ensuring compliance with information archiving compliance regulations," he said.
"We support our partners right from the beginning with sales and technical know-how as well as the corresponding services and resources - if required throughout the entire project cycle."
TIM grew its revenues by 22 per cent for its year ending April 2019 to €517m. The distributor has been in business for almost 35 years and claims to be one of the DACH region's leading datacentre distributors.
