Bechtle has announced it has formed a new IT system house in Switzerland, due to open on New Year's Day 2020.
The German VAR giant says it is restructuring its Swiss operation to bring together its currently disparate IT system house, managed service and software licensing businesses into one unit.
The three arms - Bechtle Steffen Schweiz AG, Bechtle Steffen IT-Services and Comsoft direct AG will be relaunched as Bechtle Switzerland AG / Bechtle Suisse SA as of 2020.
However, the new Swiss IT system house will have two bases, one in French-speaking western Switzerland, and one in German-speaking central Switzerland
"This will create one of the largest integrated IT service providers in Switzerland with around 560 employees," Bechtle said in a company statement.
The VAR's IT System House Switzerland boss Hanspeter Oeschger, added:
"The bundling of our strengths in the Swiss market under a brand with the Bechtle logo is the logical continuation of a very successful path. With one unit each in Western Switzerland and German-speaking Switzerland, we are in a position to provide competent and comprehensive support to customers in both economic areas," he said.
In its last quarter, Bechtle Group saw its IT System House revenues jump 20 per cent.
The restructure comes a week after the Neckarsulm-based firm snapped up local Gold-level Microsoft Messaging partner, Algacom.
Headquartered in Basel, the app migration specialist has 34 staff and hit revenues of CHF 6.4m (€5.8m) in 2018.
