'The channel's strength is truer now than ever before' - Video Q&A with Vertiv senior director of marketing Alison Webb
Winner of Vendor of the Year at this year's Channel Innovation Awards, Vertiv's senior director of marketing, Alison Webb, gave her thoughts on how the COVID-19 pandemic will affect the channel in the long term.
She said that the channel has proven its value more than ever before during the COVID-19 health crisis and can see there being a greater recognition of the IT channel as a route to market in 2021 and beyond.
"I don't think there's going to be a significant change to how the channel operates necessarily, but there will be nuances. Partners will be looking to other manufacturers and OEM providers who are able to deliver and provide the safety net they need to solve problems for their customers," she said.
"The importance of partnerships and being there for each other will be a signficant shift. For small and medium sized businesses, their livlihoods have been affected, so we have an opportunity to positively impact thier futures."
