Ingram Micro has appointed a new managing director for its operations in Switzerland.
Svetlana Sorokina joined Ingram Micro in 2012 after it acquired Dubai-based distributor Aptec. She most recently served as Ingram's marketing director for Ingram's Middle East, Turkey and Africa (META) region.
Sorokina will head up Ingram's Swiss operations after her predecessor, Benno Schlumpf, announced his retirement last June after 13 years with Ingram Micro. Schlumpf retired in April according to his LinkedIn profile.
In a LinkedIn post announcing the news, Ingram said: "Svetlana brings more than 20 years of leadership experience in marketing, product management and sales to her new role. She has achieved strong results throughout her career, most recently as our leader of Marketing for the META region. Congratulations Svetlana!"
