Ingram Micro trims the fat in latest $3bn sale to French shipping conglomerate

Ingram Micro has divested most of its Commerce & Lifecycle Services business to one of the world's largest container shipping companies, France's CMA CGM, in $3bn deal. However, Ingram Micro will retain the ITAD asset disposal, reverse logistics, and the European CLS Technology parts of the unit. The distributor itself changed hands earlier this year in July, having been sold from Chinese giant HNA to US private equity firm Platinum Equity for $7.2bn.
