US FCC blacklists Kaspersky as an 'unacceptable risk' to national security

Kaspersky has been flagged as a risk to national security by the US Federal Communications Commission (FCC).  The Russian-based cybersecurity firm has been placed on a list of companies whose communications equipment and services have been deemed to pose an "unacceptable risk" to the national security of the United States or the security and safety of United States persons.  The company's inclusion means federal subsidies can't be used to purchase its equipment or services.
