'Almost half of channel partners don't have a business plan - that's scary' - Video Q&A with Sherweb VP of sales and marketing Marc André Fontaine

Winner of Cloud Partner Program of the year at this year's Channel Innovation Awards, Sherweb's VP of sales and marketing, Marc André Fontaine gives his advice to partners as the industry begins its post-COVID recovery in 2021.

Quoting a study by CompTIA which claims that almost half of channel partners do not have a business plan, Fontaine urged partners to invest in their own business strategies and employees in 2021.

"Forty-seven per cent of channel partners don't have a business plan. When you think about that, it's a bit scary. Forty-seven per cent of partners don't exactly know what their strategy is. So investing in themselves means investing in their strategy, their marketing and their staff. One scarce resource that all staff have is their HR. If you have a good strategy, good leadership and good people - you can achieve anything."
